Mother's Love: Drawing Emotions with Pencil Step by Step
Today, I'll draw our most intimate emotion, Mother's Love. Her tenderness, her care for us, our mother selfishness, that's what I'll try to draw in this drawing tutorial. It is longer beacause is a full drawing lesson. No cuts, no time lapse. Video is only 2x to make it a little shorter, but it is complete. When I drew this painting, I did it for a commission. a man, thirty years old, had just become a father. He had been an orphan for 20 years, and seeing his first child sleeping with his wife made him long for the love that his mother gave him when he was a child. I never knew if this drawing was given to his wife or if he kept it for himself. But I do know that when he saw it, emotion overwhelmed him. In moments like those, it is when I most realize that art is always a cure and care for the soul.
